Co-production and participation

Co-production with people who access our services and who have lived experience of an issue is a priority for the British Red Cross. We use it when we design, deliver and evaluation our services. These resources show how specific co-production projects have promoted greater accountability to the communities we serve and have been strengthened by the contributions of people with relevant lived experience. By making them available, we hope to encourage the ongoing exchange of best practices across National Societies.

AVAIL project: Feedback from the AVAIL buddying activities

A case study on the Irish Red Cross’ and Latvian Red Cross’ ‘buddying activities’. Part of the AVAIL project, buddies are volunteers from the local community who are able to provide practical and emotional support, as well as opening doors to local networks, to help people ease their way into the new culture, society and community.

AVAIL project: We are the VOICES Network
